The Panthers defended a one-point lead against Jaipur Jaguars for the last 40 seconds.
Raider Sagar Pawar scored 13 points, his season best.
The Jaguars sent in their best raider with 40 seconds left and the scores tied. Panthers' right cover Vivek Kadam held his ankle hold for six agonising seconds until the referee blew the whistle.
The win keeps the Panthers one point behind the leaders. Their coach said afterwards that the team had practised that exact defence on Tuesday evening.
This is a demo story: every name, place, organisation and figure in it is fictional.
