Harbour City announced the signing of Rohit Balan, a 20-year-old left-back, after he impressed in the junior league.

The club says he will first play for the reserves.

Balan, a left-back who also plays as a winger, scored 11 goals and set up 9 in the junior league last season. The fee is reported at around 40 lakh rupees (demo), which would be a club record for a defender under 21.

Harbour City's coach said he sees the player as "the future of the left side" but will be given time. The registration window closes on 31 October.

This is a demo story: every name, place, organisation and figure in it is fictional.
